During each of his U.S. tours, Dylan Thomas stayed at The Hotel Chelsea, leasing several apartments. The last of them was #205: a 419 square foot Suite with a private bath, a kitchenette, and a balcony overlooking Manhattan's busy West 23rd Street.
In 1953, Dylan Thomas occupied #205, beneath arrow. Ten years later, #1 fan Bob Dylan rented #211, sharing the balcony of his literary hero.
On his 50th, Hotel Chelsea installed a plaque honoring Thomas.
